Isaac Obeng, a para-powerlifting athlete based in Berekum, has received significant support from Kofi Adane, also known as "Borga 1," the founder of ThinkAid Foundation, to address his ongoing accommodation challenges.
Living in a dilapidated structure in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono region, Isaac Obeng, who is physically challenged, has faced difficulties due to his inadequate housing situation.
Kofi Adane, along with his sponsors and team members, including Fleance Kyere from the UK, have made several similar donations to support individuals with disabilities. This contribution is part of ThinkAid Foundation's mission to assist people in areas such as health, education, and other essential needs.
An undisclosed amount of money, donated by Kofi Adane and Florence Kyere, was presented to Isaac Obeng and his manager, Mr. Billy Joe, by the CEO of ThinkAid Foundation.
Receiving the donation on behalf of Isaac Obeng, Billy Joe expressed deep gratitude to the foundation for its timely intervention. He praised Kofi Adane, Fleance Kyere, and the ThinkAid Foundation for their generous contribution and urged other individuals and organizations to support the Paralympic weightlifter. Billy Joe emphasized that Isaac Obeng has the potential to bring recognition not only to Berekum but also to Ghana as a whole.
Isaac Obeng also expressed his appreciation for the financial support, stating that it would greatly assist him in relocating from his current living situation. He explained that he had been forced to move into the unsuitable structure after being evicted from a rented room by his landlord.
Currently residing in substandard housing, Isaac Obeng is appealing for further assistance to improve his living conditions and help him focus on his career as a para-powerlifter.
