Thinkaid Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), based in Berekum has donated exercise Books to School Children in deprived communities in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region.
The founder of the organisation, Henry Kofi Adane ( Borga 1), explained that the aim of Thinkaid Foundation is to deliver support to people in deprived communities in the field of health, education, poverty, sanitation, people living with disabilities and community development and therefore, today's donation was planned to put smiles on the faces of the children at :
1. Koraso R/C "B" Primary school & JHS
2. Koraso R/C "A" Primary School & JHS
3. Wisdom Academy preparatory & JHS
4. Nkantanka M/A primary school & JHS
5. King of Kings Academy Prep. School & JHS.
“Supporting child education is one of ThinkAid Foundation’s priorities- together, we can impact lives!”.
Speaking to the media, the Public Relations Officer for the Foundation, Nana Akua Amankwaa stated that, it is the vision of the Foundation is to come to the aid of school-going children to ensure they get the needed support to complete their education ladder hence the plan to donate the books to the children.
She, therefore, called on all to also take part in supporting the less privileged people in the communities, especially in their educational development.
On behalf of the schools, the Headmaster of R/C (A) Basic School thanked Thinkaid Foundation for coming to alleviate the parents' challenges to get their wards books for this academic year.
He also called on other benevolent organisations and individuals to emulate the steps of the Thinkaid Foundation to come and support the children in their education.
The R/C (A) School Boys Prefect, Felix Twumasi, also expressed his gratitude to the Thinkaid Foundation for thinking about them -“coming and supporting them with exercise books.
The Assembly Member for Koraso Ward 2 Electoral Area, Hon. Abaa Yaw also expressed his appreciation to the founder of ThinkAid Foundation, Henry Kofi Adane, for extending support towards education in the Koraso-Nkantanka community and called on Thinkaid Foundation to keep coming to the town with their benevolence services to boost education in the communities.
In the coming days, ThinkAid Foundation will deliver exercise books to some deprived schools in other towns to help support child education.
